Hygiene, COVID & In-Home Guidelines
What is HomeCuts doing to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
At HomeCuts, we have ramped up our efforts to ensure the utmost safety of all of our clients and team members. We stringently follow all public health guidelines and use advanced equipment for the sterilization of all our grooming tools. We’ve also created and follow an SSS (Sterilize, Sanitize and Seal) Hygiene Process to ensure each client gets a fresh set of tools for their service.
Are temperature checks required?
We check our team members’ temperatures on a daily basis. Upon arrival at your address, our team member will also check your body temperature using an infrared thermometer. If your temperature is not within the normal range, the session will need to be rescheduled.
What types of protective equipment are used?
During your appointment, our professionals will wear a surgical mask, gloves and may also use a face shield. As an added precaution, we advise all customers to also wear a face mask during their service.
Will my floor be covered in hair?
No! We have a rigorous training program to certify all our professionals in maintaining a clean workspace in your home. A 2m x 1.5m plastic sheet will be placed beneath your seat to prevent hair from scattering. An apron will cover your neck and body to keep you clean! Our team members are also equipped with high-power vacuums and will clean any mess left behind. We have a “leave no hair behind” policy!
What do you do about grooming tools sterilization? What is the SSS Hygiene Process?
Each grooming kit (for hair and nails) is subject to our stringent SSS (Sterilize, Sanitize and Seal) Hygiene Process. Each client gets a freshly sealed and sterilized kit for their session. Our tools and equipment are sprayed or submerged in Barbicide disinfectant. All tools are then sterilized using a specialized ultra-violet light and ozone cabinet at our salon. This process eliminates any and all contagions and living organisms.
Finally, all tools and equipment are packed and sealed in disposable airtight bags for each appointment. Hair clipper machines are sprayed and sanitized using a Barbicide Clippercide Sterilization Spray. Each service uses a new set of clipper guards that have been treated using our SSS Hygiene Process.
What do you do about manicure and pedicure equipment/tools sterilization?
All of our manicure and pedicure kits include single-use, disposable products for each service. This includes a nail file, foot file, cuticle stick, toe separator and a nail buffer. Nail/cuticle clippers and trimmers are sterilized, sanitized and sealed for each client session.
Training and Certification:
All HomeCuts team members have been thoroughly trained and have passed stringent hygiene and cleanliness certifications. Each member holds a Barbicide COVID and Hygiene Certification.
HomeCuts is a fully licensed, approved and compliant with all requirements for in-home services by the Dubai Economic Department and Dubai Municipality.

HomeCuts is a modern and convenient grooming service offered right in your home! We service male adults and kids and also operate a specialist men’s hair salon in Dubai Marina.

What products and services do HomeCuts provide?
HomeCuts offers monthly grooming plans for male adults and kids, as well as one-time services for those who do not wish to subscribe to a plan. Services include: Haircuts, beard trimming, shaves, shaping, hairstyling, hair coloring, manicures and pedicures. We also offer a range of hair and skin care products for men. What is a monthly grooming plan?
A HomeCuts monthly grooming plan is a paid monthly subscription that gives you access to a defined set of services each month. You can customize a plan to suit your needs or select one of our popular plans.
What plans do HomeCuts offer?
Our plans fall into four categories: Value Plans, Family Plans, Premium Plans and Custom Plans. Each of our plans offer great value in terms of both pricing and service. Click here to see a list of the plans we currently offer.
How do I subscribe to a plan?
Download the HomeCuts app. Under the “Plans” tab, select the plan of your choice or customize your own according to your needs.
Once you’ve selected your plan, click on “Subscribe” and make your payment. Go to “Scheduling” to schedule your service!
How am I billed for my monthly grooming plan?
You have the option to be billed monthly or to pay three months in advance at a reduced rate! Click here to see our plans and pricing or here to see payment terms.
How long are the plans and one-time services valid for?
Our monthly plans and our one-time services all have a one-month validity period from the date of purchase. Please see our Scheduling & Appointments FAQs for expired plans or services here.
How do I create a custom plan?
Under “Plans” on the HomeCuts app, scroll down to and select “Custom Plans”. Choose any of the services we provide and how often you’d like that service in a month. Once you’re finished, click on “Create My Plan and Subscribe!” Your custom plan will be saved under your profile. Custom plans must include a minimum of two (2) main services in its monthly subscription. A main service is a hair & beard or manicure & pedicure, hair dye, facial Service. Kids hair services are not a main service.
What is the age for kids cuts?
The age for kids is 12 years old and below.
Can I upgrade my plan? How do I edit my custom plan?
Yes! You can easily upgrade to a higher tier plan. Unfortunately, however, it is not possible to modify a custom plan for the current month after you have subscribed and paid. If you wish to change your custom plan going forward, go to “Plans” and select your custom plan. Here, you can easily edit the services for the next month!
How can I book and purchase a non-plan service?
Download the HomeCuts app and go to the “Shop” tab. You will find a list of all the non-plan services that are available to be booked. You will be prompted to select your barber, date and time before making your purchase.
What benefits do I get as a subscribed member?
As a subscribed member, you are entitled to a 15% discount on our published rates for one-time services and grooming products.
What are the operating hours and booking windows?
Our operating hours are from 11:00AM to 12:00AM. Depending on your location and barber availability, you may be able to book an on-demand service instantly. Operating hours may be subject to change to please use the app to check service hours.
What areas in Dubai do you service?
We cover most areas in New Dubai, from Downtown Dubai all the way to Discovery Gardens and everything in between. We also cover Khawaneej, Warqa, Mirdiff, Mizhar and Muhaisnah. If your area is not covered, please submit an inquiry here for your location. We are always keen to operate in new areas.
Who are the HomeCuts professionals? Are they trained for home services?
HomeCuts team members are not third-party contractors—they are our employees. We thoroughly vet all candidates and only select individuals with considerable experience, demonstrable technical skills, a professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
We understand that your privacy and personal data is important, so our team members complete an extensive “Home Ethics” training program before visiting clients’ homes. We also conduct regular training on hygiene, skills and communication. We work closely with all our team members to ensure every client has an excellent experience!
Payments and Cancellations:
How much does a plan or one-time service cost?

What payment methods does HomeCuts accept?
The HomeCuts app allows you to pay using our secure payment gateway. Accepted payment methods are credit cards (Mastercard, Visa) and Apple Pay only.
What’s the difference between a 3 month plan and a monthly plan?
Since users would pay for 3 months upfront – a 15% additional discount is offered on 3 month plans vs monthly plans. Users would also be committed to the entire duration of the plan according to the duration selected.
How will I be charged for my monthly or quarterly (3 month advance) subscription plans? Is it recurring?
Our 3 month advance payment for the three month subscription plans are debited in full for those 3 months and you will be automatically billed every 3 months. Monthly payments for a subscription plan will be automatically billed every month. You may cancel your plan prior to the next billing cycle/renewal period or within the cancellation policy window below.
What is HomeCuts’ cancellation policy?
We have a no contracts, cancel anytime policy. You may cancel your plan prior to the next billing cycle/renewal period. You have 48 hours to cancel your purchase after booking a plan, recur a plan, or purchase a non-plan service given that services have not been utilized. Plans or services that have been utilized within 48 hours are non-refundable. Hair and skin care products that are still sealed and in their original state may be returned up to seven days from the date received. Am I permitted to use multiple addresses or persons on my plan?
Yes, you are completely free to select multiple addresses and use your remaining services for multiple persons per plan.
Am I permitted to have multiple plans under one account?
Yes! You are able to subscribe to multiple plans at one time under one account.
What is HomeCuts’ tipping policy?
After each service, the HomeCuts app allows you to review and tip your professional. Tips are given to each professional in full.
Do I get an invoice or receipt?
You can view all your past invoices by clicking on the “Invoices” tab under “Settings” on the HomeCuts app. You can also easily export all past invoices.
Scheduling and Appointments:
What if I cannot book an appointment at my desired time and date?
We recommend that you schedule your appointment well in advance to ensure you get your preferred time slot. We do offer on-demand services whenever available, depending on your location, professional and time slot. If you can’t find a suitable slot, always check back as availability always changes if someone cancels or reschedules.
Can I use my plan for my friends and family?
Absolutely! As long as the services within your plan have not expired, you are welcome to have your family or friends use valid services within your plan! We also offer Family Plans for those with multiple family members or friends!
What happens to expired, unscheduled services within my plan or one-time service? Can I carry over services after their one-month validity?
Each plan comes with a set number of services within a one-month period. The HomeCuts app will notify and remind you about your remaining services throughout the month. Please ensure you have notifications switched on. HomeCuts reserves the right not to compensate you for your expired, unscheduled or missed services. Services that are missed or that go unscheduled cannot be carried over to another month.
How should I prepare for my service appointment?
Our professionals will arrive equipped with all the tools and equipment required for your session. We also provide a suitable chair with a headrest and armrest for your comfort. Select a well-lit area in your house, preferably in your living area, sit back and relax! Weather permitting, we encourage outdoor areas too. Bathrooms areas are not permitted.
Can I track my service professional?
Yes! As soon as your professional is en route to your location, you will be notified via the app and will be able to track their movement and arrival time.
How long will my appointment take?
This depends on the service chosen. Typically, we estimate 30-45 minutes for a single hair session and 40-45 minutes for a single manicure and pedicure session.
Can I reschedule my service after booking?
Yes, you can reschedule up to 24 hours before your appointment free of charge. If you are rescheduling a service within your plan, ensure the rescheduled date falls within your plan’s validity period.
Can I leave feedback for my booked service?
Yes! After your appointment, you have the option to leave feedback on your service! We review all feedback on a daily basis.
Referral Credits and Promo Codes:
How do I earn and use credit when referring HomeCuts to others?
You must be a registered user to access this feature and have made at least one HomeCuts purchase.
Click on “Refer a Friend” under the “Settings” tab on the HomeCuts app.
Use the “Refer a Friend” button to share your unique link with friends or family.
When the referred person signs up, both you and they will receive AED 50 off your next two orders!
The amounts will be shown and deducted by default when completing your next two purchases when you choose your payment method.
How do I view my available credits?
Under the “Settings” tab on the HomeCuts app, select “Wallet” to view all credits (valid and expired).
Can my credits expire?
Yes. Your referral credits are valid for 30 days.
How do I use a HomeCuts promo code?
If you have a promo code, you can redeem this on the HomeCuts app.
Before completing a purchase, use the “Add Promo Code” button to input your promo code.
If that promo applies to that purchase, then the amount can be redeemed on that purchase.
